BPSC Recruitment 2022: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Patna, has invited Applications from the Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility Conditions for the Posts of Assistant Professor, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in the Government Engineering Colleges (GECs) under the Science & Technology Department, Government of Bihar State. Such Persons satisfying the Eligibility prescribed for the Posts Assistant Professors, Computer Science & Engineering, intend to apply, may proceed with applying Online as per the Instructions. There are 208 Vacancies earmarked for BPSC Assistant Professors and Computer Science & Engineering Posts. The Crucial Date for Candidates’ Online Application Registration (OAR) will close on 28th September 2022 (28.09.2022).
Modality of Application: The Candidates should apply (only after ensuring that they have fulfilled the Essential Eligibility) with the Scanned particulars including Most-recent Photographs (as per the Specification), Signatures, Testimonials relating to Educational Qualifications, Experiences (if applicable), Caste and Community Certificate (where applicable). The Candidates should also ensure that they enter the Correct Individual Correct Mobile Phone Number, and Valid Email Identification and that they preserve the Cellphone Number, Valid Email Id., User Name, and Password for future purpose up to the Recruitment Process completes with the Final Selection.
Selection Procedure: Selection to the Posts of Assistant Professor and Computer & Science Engineering Posts in Bihar Public Service Commission is based on Written Test Evaluation of domain knowledge and Teaching Skill through Objective-Type Written Examination and Viva-voce or Personal Interview including Due Weightage involved as per the following Criteria:

Qualification vis-à-vis Marking Weightage: Aggregate 100 Marks
I) Academic Record and Research Performance: 20 Marks Weightage as enumerated hereunder:
a) Maximum 10 (10% of Percentage Marks secured in M.Tech/M.Engg/M.S. in relevant Branch/Subject).
b) Maximum 05 (05% of Percentage Marks obtained in B.Tech/B.Engg./B.S./B.Sc(Engg.)
c) Maximum 05 Marks Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.)
II) Evaluation of Domain Knowledge and Teaching Skill through an Objective Type Written Examination: 40 Marks Weightage
The Objective-Type Written Test with 02-Hours’ Examination Duration shall comprise 80 Multiple Choice Questions for Maximum 40 Marks.
For Engineering Stream, the GATE-Based Objective-Type Written Examination
The Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type shall be from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Syllabus.
III) Interview Weightage: 15 Marks Weightage
IV) For Assistant Professors Engaged on Contractual Basis: 25 Marks Weightage
Weightage to the Candidates working on Contractual Basis on the Post of Assistant Professor under the Department of Science & Technology (D&ST) and possessing Minimum Eligibility Criteria at 05 Marks Per Year (Maximum 25 Marks)
05 Marks Per Year (Maximum 25 Marks) as provided in Appendix 1 Table-2 of Bihar Engineering Education Service Rules in Regular Appointment on Temporary Employed Assistant Professors under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Implementation Program (TEQIP) in 07 Engineering Colleges under the Department.

Essential Qualification: The Candidate should have in possession any of Bachelor’s and Master’s (Post Graduate) Degree from any duly recognized University established by Law enumerated hereunder:
Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Science (B.S.)/Bachelor of Science (Engg.) and Master of Enggineering (M.Engg)/Master of Technology (M.Tech.)/Master of Science (M.S.) or Integrated Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with First Class or Equivalent in any one of the Degrees.
Note: Distance Mode/Open University Degree for Engineering and Technology Subject remain Invalid.

i) Un-Reserved Category Candidate: Rs.750.00 Plus Bank Charges
ii) Bihar State’s SC/ST Candidates: Rs.200.00 Plus Bank Charges
iii) Bihar State Resident Un-Reserved and Reserved Category Women: Rs.200.00 Plus Bank Charges
iv) Bihar State Resident Person with Benchmark Disability (more than 40% Disability): Rs.200.00 Plus Bank Charges
v) General Merit Candidates from across India (other than Bihar State): Rs.750.00 Plus Bank Charges
