BSF Recruitment 2022: The Directorate General Border Security Force (DGBSF) has invited Applications from Male and Female Genders under the Open Category (OC) Candidates and Ex-Service-Men (ESM) in reference to Recruitment to the Post Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) in the Border Security Force (BSF), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Among Male and Female Gender Candidates, those who meet the Eligibility Criteria and intend to be Applicants for the Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) Post in the Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs may apply Online vide the BSF Recruitment 2022 Notification.
There are 20 Vacancies earmarked for Veterinary Assistant-Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) to be filled up. The Ministry of Home Affairs BSF Recruitment 2022 notified Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) in the Border Security Force is covered under the Pay Scale Level in the Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs.56100 to Rs.177500) as per 7th CPC is inclusive of 10% of overall 20 vacancies reserved for Ex-Serviceman Personnel.

Selection Process: 1st Phase and 2nd Phase, Medical Examination (ME), Review Medical Examination (RME) and Final Merit List.
1st Phase: Documentation, Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test, 2nd Phase: Personal Interview, a Computer-Based Written Examination aimed at drawing the Final Merit List, followed by Medical Examination and the Review Medical Examination
Age Limits (As on 09.01.2023)
The Open Category Candidate should be within the Age Bracket of Minimum 23 Years and must not exceed 30 Years.

Educational Qualification/Professional Qualification:
Eligible Candidate must have in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (V.Sc.AH) or Equivalent from any Duly Accredited University with Registration in the Veterinary Council of India.

Selection on to the Post Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) consists of Phase I and Phase II.
1st Phase: The 1st Phase comprises i) Documentation, ii) Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Medical Examination
2nd Phase: The 2nd Phase shall involve Documentation Qualification Candidates’ Post qualifying Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test, who shall be Eligible to appear for Personal Interviews which shall be to be conducted at the Fleet Head-Quarters (FHQ), Border Security Force CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110 003. 02-Hours Duration Computer Based Recruitment Test comprising 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions carries 100 Marks. In the end, Medical Examination followed by Review Medical Examination and Final Merit List drawing up for Final Selection onto Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) Post.
Note: Preference in the course of the Selection Process will be accorded to the Persons having gained the Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) Qualification in the Clinical Subjects; viz., Surgery, Medicine, and Pathology respectively.

ii) Nearest Authorized Common Service Center (CSC)
Reserved Community and Exempted Category Candidates: Rs.40 Plus Taxes = Rs.47.20 towards Service Charges by the Common Service Center.
