CA Students Alert! ICAI issues important Update for Sept 2025 Exams
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the eligibility criteria required for the CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025 Exams. Candidates who are planning to appear for the CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025 Exams this year are recommended to first check their status at the Self-Service Portal (SSP) and confirm that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the exam. This step is essential to ensure compliance with all preconditions before attempting to fill out the exam form.
CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025: Key Highlights
Candidates should have valid login credentials at the ICAI's Self-Service Portal (SSP). If you have not created them yet, then please contact the official website, eservices.icai.org, to create login credentials. New applicants, if facing any issues logging in, can resolve them on the same website.CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025: Course Registration and Conversion
Candidates should have a valid course registration. If the course registration expires, make sure to convert on the Self-Service Portal (SSP). If a candidate's dashboard reflects an older version of the course code, then students must convert it to the new course through SSP before filing an application for September 2025. Then no fee is required to be paid.- Intermediate: NEWINT23 or CONINT23
- Foundation: NEWFND23 or CONFND23
CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Below are the eligibility criteria for the CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025 exams: For Foundation Course:- Candidates must register themselves for the CA Foundation September 2025 exam on or before the last date, i.e., May 01, 2025.
- Candidates have been shifted from the CPT course to the Foundation course at the time of submitting the exam form.
- Appeared in Class 12th Board Examinations from a recognised board, and his/her 12th Class Admit Card must be uploaded in the Self Service Portal (SSP).
- Passed Class 12th from a recognised board, and his/her Class 12th mark sheet must be uploaded in the Self-Service Portal (SSP).
- Candidates should have completed their 8 months of study on or before the first day of the month in which the examination is to be held, i.e., September 01, 2025, meaning the registration process should have been completed on or before January 01, 2025.

CA Foundation and Intermediate September 2025: Photograph and Signature Upload
Candidates whose current photograph and signature are missing or are not of acceptable quality to be printed on marksheets are required to update them on the Self-Service Portal before filling out the registration form for the exam. The photograph/signatures must satisfy the following conditions: Photo Requirement:- The photo should be coloured or black/white with 80% of the face (without a face mask) visible.
- including ears against a white background.
- Must have a clear contrast of the image.
- Do not wear goggles and caps while having the photo taken. However, they can wear spectacles.
- The background of the photograph must be white and must be clearly visible.
- A straight-looking, relaxed face should be there. If flash is used while taking the picture, then make sure that there is no red-eye.”
- No caps or goggles are allowed; however, religious headwear is allowed, but it should not cover the face.
- No selfies are allowed.
- The photograph is scanned as a JPG/JPEG with a size of 20-50 KB.
- The scanned photo should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces, and the image is stored as a JPG/JPEG.
- Take care that the photo, as described above, fits in the size 4.5 cm by 3.5 cm.
- The signature should be done on a white sheet with a black pen.
- The file size of the image must be between 10 and 20 KB (clearly visible).
- The scanned signature should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces, and the image is stored as a JPG/JPEG.
- Take care that the signature as described above fits in the size 6 cm by 2 cm.
- If uploaded with poor quality, it can lead to discrepancies in the printing of the marksheet.
