CBDT provides relaxation in filing Form 15CA/15CB: As per the press release dated 14th June 2021, the Central Board of Direct Taxes [CBDT] has provided relaxation in the filing Form 15CA and CA Certificate in Form 15CB before submitting a copy to Authorized Dealer for any foreign Remittance.

CBDT provides relaxation in filing Form 15CA/15CB: As per the press release dated 14th June 2021, the Central Board of Direct Taxes [CBDT] has provided relaxation in the filing Form 15CA and CA Certificate in Form 15CB before submitting a copy to Authorized Dealer for any foreign Remittance.
This is being done as taxpayers were facing problems in filing the Forms due to the introduction of Income Tax Portal 2.0. It has been decided that the Taxpayers can submit a copy in Manual Format to the Authorised Dealers till 30th June 2021.
Authorized Dealers are advised to accept such formats till the facility of filling online forms comes on the new portal www.incometax.gov.in.
Form 15CA is Required if where any payments made by a resident to a non-resident and this has to be reported under the Income Tax Act. The Purpose of Filing form 15CA is to ensure that TDS on the Transaction has been deducted. Form 15CA is a declaration made by the person remitting the money wherein he states that he has deducted the TDS from any payments made to the non-resident.
Form 15CB, however, is a certificate issued by a Chartered Accountant ensuring that the provisions of the DTAA & the Income Tax Act have been complied with in respect of Deduction of Tax at source while making payment to Non-Residents.

Before the Launch of New Income tax Portal 2.0 Form 15CA and Form 15CB needs to be submitted online now with press release dated 14th June 2021, the Central Board of Direct Taxes [CBDT] has provided relaxation in the filing Form 15CA & Form 15CB Online.
