CBI Arrested Dy. CMM of Northern Railway & Two Private Person for Accepting Bribe of Rs.80,000 A Dy. CMM(C&W), Lucknow Division, Northern Railway, Lucknow, and two private people were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation today in connection with the bribery of Rs.80,000/-. A case was filed against Dy. CMM, Northern Railway, Lucknow; two private individuals and unidentified public employees and private individuals. It was claimed that the stated public official demanded and accepted illicit compensation from contractors in exchange for contract granting bill clearance, and other services. It was also claimed that the public worker ordered a private person to deliver cash to clear pending invoices totaling Rs.70 lakh for another private person (approx.). After delivering a bribe of Rs. 80,000/- to said public worker, the CBI set up a trap and apprehended the accused. Searches are being carried out in various locations throughout Lucknow, with the recovery of cash in the amount of Rs.32,10,000/- (approximately) as well as other incriminating documents and digital gadgets from the residence of said Dy.CMM. All of the apprehended suspects will appear in front of the Competent Court.
