CBI arrests FCI Manager and Delhi Police Head Constable in Bribery Case The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Manager of Food Corporation of India, Bongaigaon (Assam) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.15,000 from the Complainant. On the basis of the complaint, a case was filed against the accused. It was claimed that the Complainant was an authorised agent of a private enterprise situated in Bongaigaon that dealt in the loading and unloading of foodgrains at Bongaigaon FCI Warehouses. It was further claimed that the aforementioned firm was submitting monthly bills to the Divisional Office, Food Corporation of India, Bongaigaon. It was further claimed that the accused requested a bribe of Rs.15,000 for passing/processing bills presented by the abovementioned private firm. The CBI set up a trap and captured the Manager of FCI red-handed while seeking and collecting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from the complainant. Searches were undertaken at the accused's residence, resulting in the discovery of damning papers, including immovable property. The arrested accused is being produced before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Guwahati (Assam). In another case, the CBI detained a Head Constable assigned to the Mangolpuri Police Station in Delhi for requesting and receiving a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant. A case was registered against two Head Constables of Delhi Police, posted at Police Station Mangolpuri, Delhi on complaint. It was claimed that the Complainant owns an e-rickshaw charging station in Mangolpuri, Delhi. It was further claimed that the accused threatened the Complainant with shutting down his e-rickshaw charging station and sought a bribe of Rs.50,000/- from him. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the Complainant. The arrested accused is being produced before the Designated Court, Delhi.
