CBI Arrests Licensing Officer for Accepting Bribe of Rs.25000
The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Licensing Officer & Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Jaipur for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from the complainant.
The accused, identified as Giriraj Verma, was detained on Monday for taking the bribe, according to a formal statement released by the CBI.
A complaint was filed against the Licensing Officer and Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Jaipur, on the grounds that he allegedly demanded an inflated fee of Rs. 50,000 from the owner of a Jaipur-based private company in lieu of obtaining a labour licence. The aforementioned company's line of work entails offering contract labour and personnel to IDBI Bank.
The accused was captured in a trap set by the CBI while taking a bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant. Incriminating documents were found after searches were done on the accused's property.
Accused presented before the Jaipur Special Judge Court in CBI Cases.
