CBI Arrests Two Accused Including MCDs JE in a Bribery Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Junior Engineer, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Preet Vihar, Delhi and a Beldar in bribery of Rs.7,000/-.

The accused was charged after a complaint was filed. Both accused allegedly demanded a bribe from the Complainant in exchange for allowing him to retain materials outside his shop. The CBI set a trap for Beldar, who demanded and accepted a payment of Rs.7,000/- for himself and on behalf of Junior Engineer. Searches were carried out at both the accused’s offices and their homes.

Both of the apprehended suspects will be brought before the Delhi Designated Court.
