Central Bureau of Narcotics busts illicit drug manufacturing kitchen lab; Check Details
The Central Bureau of Narcotics Department Officers in New Delhi conducted a raid on May 5, 2022, and discovered a secret kitchen lab where narcotics medications including diphenoxylate were being produced. The Central Bureau of Narcotics’ Preventive and Intelligence Cell in New Delhi had gathered information about a covert kitchen lab manufacturing drugs powdered with diphenoxylate that was being run out of a house in Karnal, Haryana, at House No. 323 Sec. 6.
Manoj Kumar, the son of Sh. Gulshan Kumar, has been detained. 45.855 kg of Diphenoxylate mix were made into medication. Nimesulide tablets (19,000 tablets) and loose Diphenoxylate tablets (7.240 kg) were found and taken into custody. The powdered narcotics contained the pills of nemesulide.
According to the NDPS Act, diphenoxylate is a narcotic drug with a commercial amount of 50 gm. In addition, Mr. Mahesh Kumar S/o Mohan Lal Prop/o Modern Medical Store, Nissing, Karnal, the alleged mastermind of this unlawful manufacture, was detained on July 7, 2022. A case has been filed under Section 8 of the NDPS Act of 1985, as read with Sections 21, 25, 27A, 28, 29, 30, and 35.
They are involved in the sale of drug powder containing diphenoxylate to various states for the goal of intoxication. Further research is now being conducted.
According to Narcotics Commissioner Shri Rajesh Fattesingh Dhabre, the Central Bureau of Narcotics will shortly identify the primary drug source.
