Age Limitation for Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024:

• The applicants for General Manager / Additional General Manager age limit should be between 45 to 55 years. 
• The applicants for the Deputy General age limit should be 40 years.

Qualification for Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024:

For General Manager / Additional General Manager-

• The applicants should have a B.E / B.Tech (Civil) graduate from a Govt. recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE / UGC. M.E / M.Tech Graduate (Civil / Structural Engineering) is preferable.

For Deputy General-

• The candidates must have a B. Arch graduate from a Govt. recognized Institute / University approved by AICTE / UGC.
• The candidates must have a B. E / B.Tech (Civil) graduate from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE / UGC. Possession of an M. E / M. Tech degree (Civil / Structural Engineering) is preferable.

For Manager-

• The applicants must have a B.Arch. graduate from a Govt. recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE /UGC.

Experience for Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024:

As mentioned in the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s required experience is listed below:
For General Manager / Additional General Manager-

• The candidates must have a minimum of 17 years for AGM and 20 years for GM of years of post-qualification experience.

For Deputy General-

• The applicants must have a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in Architecture design for a large infrastructure project preferably in Metro Rail Projects/Railway.
• The incumbent should also be familiar with design aspects of life safety and fire safety requirements in design implementations and material selection.
• The applicants should have a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in the planning and design of Viaducts, Bridges and Multi-storied Buildings. Out of 13 years of experience, a minimum of 08 years of experience in Metro Railway projects with the Design of Viaduct, Elevated Stations, Tunnels and Ground Stations is essential.
• Hands-on knowledge of various computer applications, relating to the job and well versed with various design software would be preferred.

For Manager-

• The applicants should have a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in Architecture design for a large infrastructure project preferably in Metro Rail Projects/Railway.
• The applicants should also be familiar with design aspects of life safety and fire safety requirements in design implementations and material selection.
• The candidates should know NBC and NFPA 130 & 101 are essential.

According to the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the candidates have to pay the non-refundable application fee mentioned below:

• For Unreserved and candidates falling under another category- Rs.300
• For SC/ST- Rs.50

Tenure for Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the tenure period for contract type of appointment is initially for a period of 2 years and the same will be extended for a further period subject to the requirement and performance of the candidates as per the existing terms and conditions on mutual consent.

For General Manager / Additional General Manager-

• The selected applicants will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.225000 for GM and Rs.160000 for AGM.

For Deputy General-

• The selected applicants will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.125000.

For Manager-

• The selected applicants will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.85000.
