Surya Prakash Singh, SHO of Trilokpur, stated, "A merchant saw Yadav who claimed to be a 'joint-commissioner' in the state GST department. "Yadav then went to a supplier of auto components and demanded to view the account books. The manager, on the other hand, noted that Yadav was unable to check the figure and had little expertise of Tally software," the police officer explained.
The Shopkeeper immediately informed his seniors who asked him to keep Yadav engaged. In due time, the members of traders association and other reached at shop and asked Hiralal Yadav to show his identity card. Yadav show them his ID Card and threatened them to sue in court and file a FIR for stopping a government employee from performing his duty.
"Traders called UP 112 to verify Yadav's identity. "When we arrived, we asked Yadav to provide his ID card and afterwards shared the information with GST officials," the SHO added.
"The GST officers informed us that Yadav was a phoney officer, and a FIR was filed against him," he continued.
