DAE Recruitment 2023: Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has invited Applications from qualified Experienced Candidates for the Post of Director at the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS). There is 01 Vacancy to be filled up with an Appointment in the Director Post under Pay Level 16 at the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE-CEBS).
As per the DAE Recruitment 2023 notification, Among the Candidates Eligible and those Willing to be Applicants for the UM-DAE CEBS Director Post may apply within the Timeline stipulated for submission of duly completed Applications. The Last Date for the Eligible Candidates to complete the submission of duly completed Applications is 31st January 2023 (31.01.2023)

Post-Selection, Eligible Candidate’s Appointment would be carried out in the Pay Matrix of Rs.144200 Per Month.
As per the DAE Recruitment 2023 Notification, The Applicant (as on 31.01.2023) should neither be lesser than 50 Years nor more than 58 Years Age as has been mentioned in the DAE Recruitment 2023 Notification.
The Eligible and Desirous Candidates must have gained the following Qualifications including Experience.
Minimum Educational Qualification: Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.) in Basic Sciences; And
Desired Experience: 10 Years’ Experience at the level of Professor in any Institute of National Repute.
Desirable: National Accreditation, Membership in the National Science Academies, a Recipient of Prestigious Awards in any specific Academic Area.
Candidate’s Familiarization with the Working in the Department of Atomic Energy is desirable.
Experience: Minimum 15 Years’ Experience in Teaching and Research, out of which 10 Years must be as Professor in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 144200 and above or Equivalent Experience in Research in Science and Engineering in any Research Laboratory.
The Candidate must be an Eminent Person with an Outstanding Record throughout.
Preference in Selection will be given to those who have worked for Minimum 25 Years in the Research Centers or Aided Institutions of the Department of Atomic Energy.

Appointment will be by the Governing Council of UM-DAE CEBS with the Approval of the Government of India on the recommendation of a Search-cum-Selection Committee. Post-Selection, the Candidate shall be placed in the Level 16 (Rs.205400 to Rs.224400) of the Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission.
Appointment Tenure: The Incumbent in the Director Post will hold the Office for 05 Years from the Date of assuming Office or till attaining 65 Years’ Age, whichever is Earlier.
