Delhi Govt Opening 12 Schools of Applied Learning: Classes From Nursery to Class 12
SoAL Schools Delhi: After ‘Schools of Specialised Excellence,’ Delhi will now have 12 ‘Schools of Applied Learning‘ starting next year, with the emphasis on the implementation of skills learned in the curriculum rather than rote learning, according to Delhi Education Minister Atishi.
The education department has been assigned Rs 16,575 crore by Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot for the financial year 2023-24, the highest allocation in the Delhi government’s budget since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power in the state.
Schools of Specialised Excellence: The Delhi government previously announced the model of Schools of Specialised Excellence for school children, where students from class 9 and above will be allowed to choose their specialization. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), performing arts, humanities, and higher 21st-century abilities are among the specialization options.
