DGFT Invites Stakeholder Feedback on Updating Export Policy to Align with Finance Act, 2025 The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has published Trade Notice No. 04/2025-26 dated April 29, 2025, requesting comments on coordinating Schedule-II (Export Policy) of ITC(HS) 2022 with the modifications brought about in the Finance Act, 2025. The Finance Act, 2025, has brought about drastic amendments to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, including amendments to Chapter Notes, HS Codes, and Product Descriptions. The amendments should be incorporated in the Export Policy, and the DGFT is preoccupied with making the amendments. As per Para 1.07 A of FTP 2023, which insists on stakeholder consultation at the time of drawing up or amending the Foreign Trade Policy, the DGFT invites comments on the suggested amendments. Amendments in Chapter Notes (Annexure-I) and revisions of HS Codes and Product Descriptions (Annexure-II) as brought out in the Finance Act, 2025, are attached in the Trade Notice. The comments, suggestions, and inputs of stakeholders, including industry associations and exporters, are solicited. Submissions may be made within 7 days of the date of issue of this Trade Notice to [email protected]. This Trade Notice has been issued under the approval of the Competent Authority and in terms of Para 1.07 A of FTP 2023. For more information, refer to the notice PDF below
