DMRC Announces Minimal Hike in Delhi Metro Fare from August 25; Check New Revised Rates
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has officially announced revisions in passenger fares of the Delhi Metro services. These changes in fare are set to come into effect from Today, August 25, 2025, (Monday). Meaning, if you use the Delhi Metro for travelling, you will notice a small increase in its ticket prices from today.
The corporation has described this fare hike as minimal, and the increase ranges from Rs. 1 to Rs. 4, depending on the distance you travel. For those using the Airport Express Line (AEL), the increase can range from Rs. 1 to Rs. 5. AEL is the metro line that connects New Delhi Railway Station to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
The DMRC has made sure the revisions are gradual so that passengers are not burdened too much. The new fare structure is divided into two types: Normal Days Fare (Weekdays) and National Holidays and Sunday Fare. Below is the table mentioning the revised fare as per the distance you travel:
This means even on Sundays and National Holidays, the fares have gone up by Rs. 1 to Rs. 4, just like on regular days.
