DNB Examination 2023: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) New Delhi has extended the last date for submission of the thesis to appear in DNB/DrNB final theory examination to 31st March 2023. The NBEMS has increased the thesis submission date for the purpose of eligibility to appear for the DNB/DrNB final theory examinations to be conducted in April 2023. Earlier the last date for thesis submission to appear for DNB/DrNB final theory examination– April 2023 was 31st December 2022. The NBEMS has now extended the last date for thesis submission, so candidates can submit their thesis until today (March 31, 2023) to be eligible for the DNB/DrNB final theory examination- April 2023.
The NBEMS conducts the postgraduate and doctoral examinations in approved specialties for the award of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB). The application process for the DNB/DrNB final theory examination- April 2023 has started from 14th March 2023. The last date to fill out the form to appear for DNB/DrNB final theory examination in April 2023 is 3rd April 2023 (up to 11:55 pm). Candidates who want to appear for this exam must visit the official website of the NBEMS. The complete application process must be completed online. The fee to appear for the DNB/DrNB final theory examination in April 2023 is Rs 6000. The NBEMS will release the admit cards for the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination- April 2023 on 18th April 2023. The examinations will be organized from 24th April 2023 to 27th April 2023.
The DNB and DrNB final examination is a two-stage examination consisting of theory and practical examination. The DNB theory examination consists of four papers of 100 marks each. Students must score 50% (200 out of 400) in order to pass the theory examination. The DrNB theory examination comprises three question papers of 100 marks each. Candidates scoring at least 50% (150 out of 300) will be considered qualified. The duration of both the DNB (also known as broad specialties) and DrNB (also known as Super Specialities) examination will be 3 hours. Only after clearing the theory examination, a candidate can appear for the practical exam. The practical examination for DNB/DrNB is held for 300 marks.
