Aadhar Card is necessary for every Indian. It is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Aadhar card contains information such as name, photo, address, etc. of the cardholder along with a 12-digit identification number. It is one of the most important documents. Aadhar card is necessary for several important tasks, including banking. It serves as your official identity. Aadhar card has largely replaced the identity card in the recent past. However, identity cards are also issued.
Aadhaar Amendment Deadline extended upto 30th June 2022
UIDAI makes Aadhar card and it also provides facility to change it. If you have to make any changes in the Aadhar card, then it is done through UIDAI only. Many information like address, photo, mobile number, email id can be updated including correction in name. In such a situation, today we are going to inform you about updating the photo in Aadhar card because many people complain that their current photo in Aadhar card does not look good. If this is the case with you too, then you can update your dislike photo with a new 'good looking photo'.
To Avoid Misuse of Aadhaar Card, Lock and Unlock it When Needed
Way to update photo of Aadhar card:
- Go to the UIDAI website.
- Download Aadhaar Enrollment Form.
- Fill in the required details in the form.
- Take the form to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center and submit it.
- Your new picture will be taken at the center.
- Rs.100+GST have to pay.
- After this, you will be given an acknowledgment slip.
- It will have an Update Request Number (URN). With this, you can track Aadhar card updates.
- Updates may take up to 90 days.
