DRDO Recruitment 2023: The Recruitment & Assessment Centre (RAC) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is looking for talented and highly qualified Indian candidates for Project Scientist Posts on a tenure-based engagement for NMRL, MUMBAI. There are a total of 12 vacancies available for Project Scientist ‘F’, Project Scientist ‘E’, Project Scientist ‘D’, Project Scientist ‘C’, and Project Scientist ‘B’ posts. According to DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selected candidates will be initially employed for a period of 3 years, which can be extended based on the organization’s requirements and candidates’ performance. The selected candidate can get a monthly salary of up to Rs 2,20,717.
Based on DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the upper age limit to apply for various posts range from 35 years to 55 years. Candidates will have to pay an online application fee of Rs 100 to apply for the released posts. Candidates will be selected on the basis of an online preliminary interview and a personal interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the personal interview. Interested candidates should visit the official website of the RAC to fill out the online application form. The last date to fill out the online application form is 16th June 2023 up to 4 pm.

Based on DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for various posts as of the closing date (16 June 2023) of the application form is mentioned below:
Project Scientist ‘F’: The upper age limit to apply for this post is 55 years.
Project Scientist ‘E’: Eligible candidates should not exceed 50 years.
Project Scientist ‘D’: Eligible candidates should be below the age of 45 years
Project Scientist ‘C’:The upper age limit to apply for this post is 40 years.
Project Scientist ‘B’:The upper age limit to apply for this post is 35 years.
In accordance with DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates applying for various posts must have at least a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in the relevant disciplines. Candidates applying for the chemistry discipline of Project Scientist ‘B’ and the physical chemistry discipline of Project Scientist ‘C’ must have at least a first-class master’s degree in chemistry. Candidates with higher qualifications are desired. Candidates must possess some experience in the relevant discipline (the number of years of experience and its necessity varies according to different posts and disciplines/subjects). Candidates must refer to the official notification to know about the detailed educational eligibility, experience required, desirable qualifications, and Equivalent acceptable subjects of Essential Qualification.
It is to be noted that any experience below the Pay Level-8 as per 7th CPC or equivalent will not be considered.
As per DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary according to the position for which the candidate has been selected. The monthly pay receivable by candidates selected for various posts is given below:
Project Scientist ‘F’: Rs 2,20,717
Project Scientist ‘E’: Rs 2,01,794
Project Scientist ‘D’: Rs 1,24,612
Project Scientist ‘C’: Rs 1,08,073
Project Scientist ‘B’: Rs 90,789
According to DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates will have to pay an online application fee of Rs 100 (non-refundable) in order to submit their application form. Candidates from SC/ST/Divyang/Women categories are not required to pay any application fee.
As per DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selected candidate will be initially employed for a period of 3 years. The period of engagement can be further extended based on the organization’s requirements and the performance of the selected candidate.
As given in DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of educational qualifications, desirable qualifications, experience, and relevance of experience. If the number of candidates increases beyond a limit, then the screening committee may conduct a preliminary online interview of 10 to 15 minutes to shortlist the candidates for the personal interview.
According to the details mentioned in the official notification for DRDO Recruitment 2023, the candidates will be selected for the released job posts on the basis of their performance in the personal interview. The DRDO will issue admit cards to shortlisted candidates for the personal interview. Candidates must score at least 70% marks in the interview to get selected. Candidates from reserved categories need 60% marks in the personal interview for selection.
