DU Admission 2022: DU to begin UG admission process with launch of CSAS portal today

The Delhi University(DU) to begin admission process for UG courses of the academic year 2022-23 with the launch of a Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal today.

The university in Delhi will begin the undergraduate admissions process today, Monday, September 12, 2022, in anticipation of the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), which was held for the first time for UG admissions in Central Universities as well as many other State, Deemed, and Private Universities and affiliated colleges. The university will today launch the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate applications, according to a DU update.

This year, the university will admit students based on their performance on the recently introduced Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which was concluded on September 6.

Students who are expecting the CUET UG Results for Delhi University admission should be aware that the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal will be used to administer admission in three stages. Students must complete and submit the online application form on the CSAS portal in the first phase. Students must choose their preferred programme and seats in the second stage before submitting, at which point they must input their CUET UG 2022 result. The institution will then announce the seat allocation results of the first phase (Round 1) based on the students’ course and college preferences and their test results in the third phase. The students must apply for admission to the designated college or course by paying the required fee by the deadline in order to be considered for admission based on these results.

Earlier, Delhi University was aiming to open the admissions site in the final week of August 2022. It further directed students to prepare a copy of the important certificates and documents required for DU UG Admission 2022 and keep them ready by August 31, 2022.

All central institutions must now admit students using the CUET, according to a directive issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in March.

With 14.9 lakh registrations, the CUET has surpassed the JEE-Mains’ average registration of nine lakh to become the second-largest entrance test in the nation. With an average of 18 lakh registrations, the NEET-UG is India’s largest entrance examination.
