Empanelment of CA Firms For Re-audit of Accounts of EPFO
EPFO invites applications from reputed CA firms to take up the work of re-audit of accounts or Provident Fund Trust maintained by establishments exempted under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
The EPF & MP Act, 1952 is enacted by the Parliament to provide for the benefits of the Provident Fund, Pension Fund, and Insurance Fund to the employees working in the covered establishment.
The BOT is expected to have the fund's accounts audited by a competent independent chartered accountant once a year and to submit a copy of the audit report and the audited balance sheet to the regional provident fund commissioner.
Last date for submission of application:
08 July 20222.
The following are the requirements for empaneling chartered accounting firms:
1. The CA company ought to have registered with the Indian Institute of CAs.
2. The company must have been around for at least five years.
3. The companies must have a minimum of three partners, one of whom must be an FCA.
4. The company ought to have been appointed for the MEF with an ICAl and CAG audit.
5. For a minimum of five years, the company should have performed a bank audit (statutory branch audit, concurrent audit, or revenue audit).
6. For at least five years, the business should have audited government and public sector projects.
Other Conditions:
1. According to the audit proforma, which is displayed on the website together with this e-notice, the audit will be performed by a team under the direction of a competent Chartered Accountant.
2. The appointment will initially be for a year, with the possibility of an additional year depending on the service provided by the CA firms under mutually agreed-upon terms and conditions.
3.The PF Trust's recommended re-audit work must begin on January 8, 2022, and the report must be sent in by September 1, 2022, at the latest.
