Escorts Kubota Gets Relief in GST Case
Escorts Kubota Limited has shared an important update regarding a Goods and Services Tax (GST) matter involving the company. The company officially communicated this update with the BSE and NSE as part of the company’s disclosure obligations under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Regulations, 2015.
Earlier, on August 31, 2024, Escorts Kubota had informed the stock exchanges about the matter of Deputy Commissioner of State Tax from the Begumpet Division in Hyderabad raising a GST demand. The tax amount was Rs. 1,11,900 with an interest and penalty of Rs. 20,000.
Escorts Kubota has provided a follow-up update on the same matter. The Deputy Commissioner has now passed a new According to this new order, the authority has decided to close the case and waive off the Rs. 20,000 interest and penalty under the GST Waiver Scheme. So, now the company only have to pay the original tax amount which has already been cleared.
As a result, the company has fully discharged the confirmed tax liability of Rs. 1,11,900 and it doesn’t have to pay any other payment. As the penalty and interest waived, the tax dues are cleared, and the matter is now completely resolved with the proceedings stand closed. Escorts Kubota also said that all the required disclosures related to this development were already made earlier.
