Examination Records Safe and Secure, ICAI Clarifies Amid Data Leak Claims
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has dismissed reports circulating on social media that claimed a security breach had exposed examination records.
In an official statement, ICAI clarified that the website being referred to- examiners.icaiexam.icai.org- is only a training portal used for examiner orientation and is not connected to examination records or student data.
The institute also clarified to students, members and other stakeholders that there has been no breach of examination records, answer sheets, marks data or any other sensitive information related to examinations.
ICAI said the claims being shared online are false, misleading, and intended to create unnecessary confusion. It urged stakeholders not to believe rumours and to rely only on official ICAI communications for authentic information.
The institute also stated that it is taking the matter seriously and will initiate legal action against individuals spreading false information. ICAI reiterated that its examination systems are secure and protected by multiple layers of technological safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of exam-related data.
ICAI lastly stated that "Students, members and all stakeholders are therefore advised not to believe such rumours and false campaigns in social media and requested to refer only to official communications issued by ICAI for authentic updates."
