ICAI Expands Bulk UDIN Facility for Tax Audit and Audit And Assurance Functions:

ICAI has expanded the Bulk UDIN facility to Tax Audit and Audit & Assurance Functions, enabling members to generate 3–10 UDINs through the portal in a single submission.
ICAI Extends Bulk UDIN Generation

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released FAQs explaining the Bulk UDIN Generation facility for members under the ‘Tax Audit’ and ‘Audit & Assurance Functions’ categories. The facility will make it easier for members to generate multiple UDINs at the same time.
Earlier, the Bulk UDIN Generation facility was available only under the ‘Certificates’ category. It has now been extended to Tax Audit and Audit & Assurance Functions, allowing members to generate multiple UDINs in a single go.
Under the new facility, a member can generate a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 UDINs at one time. The process is completely available through the User Interface (UI), so members do not need to upload an Excel file. This is different from the Bulk UDIN facility available under the Certificates category.
To generate UDINs in bulk, members need to first log in to the UDIN Portal and click on the ‘Bulk UDIN’ option in the menu bar. They then need to select the relevant FRN and choose either ‘Tax Audit’ or ‘Audit & Assurance Functions’ as the category.
After selecting the category, members can click on the ‘Add Row’ button to enter the details of the forms or documents. The details have to be entered in the same manner as they are entered while generating an individual UDIN under the respective category.
Once the details are entered, members can either click on ‘Save Draft’ to save the information for later or select ‘Send OTP’ to continue with the submission. After verifying the OTP and clicking on ‘Submit’, the UDINs will be generated.
ICAI has also clarified that members can edit or delete the details of any form or document before final submission. All the forms or documents added for bulk UDIN generation will appear in a list on the User Interface, allowing members to review and make changes before submitting the request.
The FAQs provide step-by-step guidance on the newly expanded Bulk UDIN facility and clarify the process members need to follow while generating multiple UDINs under Tax Audit and Audit & Assurance Functions.
