FCI Recruitment 2023: The Food Corporation of India (FCI), established in 1964, is a premier Public Sector Undertaking that deals with Food Management and allied activities in India. The FCI has recently announced a recruitment drive for the post of Assistant General Manager for the engineering cadre. As per FCI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the post will be filled through deputation from suitable officers from the Central or State Government or any public sector undertakings.
The Assistant General Manager post is a senior position in the FCI and is a great opportunity for eligible candidates to serve in one of the largest PSUs in the country. The selected officers will be posted on an all-India basis and will be responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of various engineering works. The job location will be spread across the country, including Delhi/NCR, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, and other cities. AGM (CE):
The post of AGM (CE) requires a candidate to possess a degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university. In addition, the candidate should be holding an analogous post in the grade of E-3 or L-11 or have a minimum of 05 years of experience in the capacity of Assistant Engineer or equivalent in the IDA pay scale of Rs.40,000-1,40,000 (E-1) (the equivalent CDA Pay Level as per 7th CPC is L-08) or equivalent and above. There are a total of 26 posts available for this position.
AGM (EM):
To be eligible for the post of AGM (EM), a candidate must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university. The candidate should also be holding an analogous post in the grade of E-3 or L-11 or have a minimum of 05 years of experience in the capacity of Assistant Engineer in the IDA pay scale of Rs.40,000-1,40,000 (E-1) (the equivalent CDA Pay Level as per 7th CPC is L-08) or equivalent and above. There are a total of 20 posts available for this position.
As per FCI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the deputation period for this position will initially be for 3 years, extendable up to 5 years, on a yearly basis with the consent of both organizations. The job location for this position will be on an all-India basis.

The application should be forwarded through the proper channel along with necessary documents, including up-to-date and duly attested Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the preceding five years, vigilance clearance indicating no pending or contemplated disciplinary or criminal proceedings, integrity certificate signed by an officer, not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, self-attested photocopies of documents for proof of age, qualification, experience, caste, etc.
The terms of appointment, pay, and other benefits will be in accordance with the rules of the Corporation, and the qualification and experience will be reckoned as of 31.03.2023. It is important to note that the officer selected for the post of AGM of the engineering cadre will not be considered for absorption in FCI since the post is only for deputation.
