GAIL Recruitment 2023: GAIL (India) Limited is a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) that has released a job vacancy for the position of Director (Business Development). The position falls under Schedule A and the selected candidate will be eligible for a pay scale of Rs. 180000-340000 (IDA). As per GAIL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Director (Business Development) will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director. The primary responsibility of the Director (Business Development) will be to handle all strategic planning and business development activities of the company.
To be eligible for the position, the applicant must, on the date of application and interview, be employed in a regular capacity and have at least 5 years of cumulative experience/exposure in the field of Business Development/Marketing/Market Research/Sales/Project/Operations/Commercial Contracts/Product Distribution at a senior level of management in an organization/establishment. The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with good academic records from a recognized University/Institution. Applicants holding MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies, and experience/exposure in the Transport/logistics/Hydrocarbon/Petroleum sector will have an added advantage.

The selected candidate will be eligible for immediate absorption if they are a Central Government Officer, including those of the Armed Forces of the Union and the All India Services. Employment Status
The applicant must be employed in a regular capacity in one of the following on the date of application and interview:
Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE)
Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services
State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is Rs 10,000 crore or more
Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is Rs 10,000 crore or more
Candidates from listed companies will be given preference.
Qualification
The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institution.
Applicants holding MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.
Experience
The applicant should have at least 5 years of cumulative experience/exposure during the last 10 years in the field of Business Development/ Marketing/ Market Research/ Sales/ Project/ Operations/ Commercial Contracts/Product Distribution at a senior level of management in an organization/establishment.
Experience/Exposure in the Transport/logistics/ Hydrocarbon/ Petroleum sector will have an added advantage.
As per GAIL Recruitment 2023 official notification, to apply for the position, applicants have two options – online and offline. For the online application process, candidates can visit the official website of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) and fill up the application form online against the job description. After filling up the form, candidates have to forward it online, as specified in para V(1). Alternatively, candidates can fill up the application form online, take a printout, and send it offline as specified in para V(1).
The last date and time for receipt of complete applications duly forwarded to PESB is 15.00 hours on 19-04-2023. The Board will not entertain any application received after the stipulated time/date. Incomplete applications and applications received after the stipulated time/date shall be rejected. The Board reserves the right to shortlist applicants for the interview.
