RoDTEP is a scheme that refunds some duties, taxes that are not refunded under any other existing export schemes. It was introduced on January 1, 2021 and is compliant with World Trade Organisation (WTO) norms. It is enforced by an end-to-end digital system to ensure transparency and quick payments. For the financial year 2025-26, the government has allocated Rs. 18,233 crore for this scheme. This support will cover 10,780 HS lines for the Domestic Tariff Area and 10,795 HS Lines under Advance Authorization (AA), Export-Oriented Units (EOUs), and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). This ensures that many different sectors benefit from the scheme.
