Govt’s Big Move: Rs. 3000 Annual FASTag Pass Could Save You Thousands!

The government is introducing a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at Rs 3,000 from August 15, 2025. Nitin Gadkari. The Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, in a recent post shared on the platform X, has disclosed the new FASTag-based Annual Pass. The pass is only for non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans.

The annual pass will allow private vehicle owners to travel hassle-free and cheaply on National Highways all across India. The card can be activated or renewed through the Rajmarg Yatra App or on the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH via a link on these resources that will be available soon. The pass will be valid for one year from the date it is activated, or until 200 trips are completed, whichever happens first.

Benefits of FASTag-Based Annual Pass

  • By bringing this new system, the government aims to give private vehicle owners a faster and more comfortable travel experience on highways.
  • The new system addresses issues at toll plazas, especially those within a 60 km range, and allows you to make toll payments with just one simple and affordable payment.
  • The system also aims to reduce waiting time and cut traffic jams.
  • It lowers the chances of arguments or confusion at toll plazas.
