Overview:

Morgan Stanley is hiring an experienced Analyst – WM Credit Risk Reporting (Risk Management) at their Mumbai location. The Wealth Management Credit Risk Reporting Team produces key reports for senior management, regulators and Credit Officers, ensuring high-quality data for decision-making. This role is focused on producing, analyzing and enhancing Credit risk reporting using analytical tools (VBA, SQL, Python & Excel) and PowerPoint.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Produce a suite of senior management credit risk reports and associated portfolio risk movements on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
• Analyze data to identify key risk trends to be escalated to senior management
• Support Wealth Management credit risk report automation efforts through analysis and automation of existing manual processes primarily using Python, VBA or Power BI
• Identify, log, and assist in resolving data gaps and issues with Data Stewards and our IT partners
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities in order to determine if the automation efforts are yielding the intended results. Also, validating any suggested changes and assessing adherence to the firm’s business requirements.
• Help create business requirement documents (BRD) for any planned IT projects
• Create Credit Risk Dashboards and other MI reports using Power BI
• Review and provide backup and quality control for reports produced by others
• Draft and maintain procedure documents

Qualification: 

Skill Set

• Strong Excel & PowerPoint Skills
• Additional coding experience and working knowledge of VBA, Python and SQL a plus
• Good analytical skills, ability to analyze information, identify and articulate problems and trends
• Attention to detail
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across regional teams
• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables
• Strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.

Qualifications/Criterion

• Bachelor’s degree
• Maximum 3 years of relevant experience in financial services, risk management, or reporting
• Experience working with wholesale and retail banking products, e.g. securities-based products, traded products, mortgages, etc is preferred but not mandatory
