- GST Council to discuss considering food delivery apps as restaurant services
- The fitment committee of GST Council has proposed that E-Com Companies like "Zomato and Swiggy" may be made liable to pay GST on restaurant services provided through them.
- As of now, these apps are collecting TCS from GST Registered Service providers providing restaurant services provided through them.
- As per Sources, they will be given time upto Jan 1st, 2022 to make software changes
