The 57th GST Council meeting will be held in New Delhi on September 12, 2026, with an Officers’ Meeting scheduled for September 11, while the venue and agenda are yet to be announced.
57th GST Council Meeting Scheduled For September 12, 2026

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council meeting is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2026, in New Delhi. The meeting will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue onwards.
The schedule for the meeting has been officially announced vide an office memorandum issued by the Arvind Shrivastava, Secretary of the Government of India and ex officio Secretary of the GST Council.
The Secretariat has also requested that the invitation be conveyed to the Hon’ble Members of the GST Council for attending the 57th meeting.
An officers' meeting will also be conducted a day earlier, on September 11, 2026, in New Delhi. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. The Officers’ Meeting is expected to precede the main GST Council meeting and assist in discussions on the agenda items.
The memorandum stated that details regarding the venue and agenda for both the GST Council meeting and the Officers’ Meeting will be communicated separately at a later stage.
The 57th GST Council meeting will bring together representatives of the Centre and States to discuss matters relating to GST administration and policy. However, only the dates and schedules of the meetings have been confirmed vide the Office Memorandum, and no specific agenda or proposals have been disclosed yet.
