GST: Enviro Infra Engineers Faces Rs. 8.39 Cr Demand Over GSTR-3B and GSTR-7 Discrepancy

Delhi based Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd. was served with a notice from the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax on 23rd June, 2025, regarding the alleged malpractices in paying the full GST amount that was supposed to be paid for the tax period 2018-19 to tax period 2023-24. Due to these discrepancies, the GST Department has decided to impose penalty and also charge interest on the amount that was left unpaid.

The GST Department has demanded a total amount of:

Tax Liability: Rs. 5,06,65,760
Interest: Rs. 2,57,24,378
Penalty: Rs. 75,99,864
Total: Rs. 8,39,90,002

The organization informed about the said notice to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE on June 24, 2025, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. While informing NSE and BSE about the matter, the company also stated that the said matter shall be making no material impact on the financial, operations or other activities of the company. It also mentioned that it will take necessary steps to resolve the matter in time.
