GST Fraud Busted: Central Department Raids Multiple Areas in Jaleshwar Nagar
The Central GST Department has taken major action in Jaleshwar Nagar. The department's team raided different areas of the city at 6 AM and detained six traders. This case of GST theft through fake billing has come to attention.
A team of some senior CGST officials from Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra carried out this operation with heavy police force. The team raided Mandi Jawaharganj, Mahavirganj, Sarai Khanam and Haveli.
Previously, 20 days ago, the state GST department had also conducted a raid in the same case. However, the traders were not found then. Today's action continued till late evening. This has made silence in the whole market.
The officials did not provide any detailed information to the media. They only said that this is a case of GST theft. This move had created tension in the local business community.
