GST Hike: Household Items and Services that get costlier from Today; Check Details
GST Hike on Pre-Packed Labelled Food Items & Services: After the implementation of the decisions of the GST Council, many food items will become expensive from today. These include perishable products that have been pre-packaged and labelled, such as wheat, cheese, and yoghurt. They must pay GST at the rate of 5%. In addition, consumers who hire hospital rooms for more than Rs 5,000 would also be required to pay 5% GST.
