REVISED GST RATE FOR RENT A CAB | GOODS TRANSPORT AGENCY (GTA)

Government has Revise the Rate of Rent a Cab, Goods Transport Agency (GTA), vide Notification No. 20/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dated 22.08.17. Below are the Summary of the Notification.

Govt Seeks to amend notification No. 11/2017-CT(R) to reduce CGST  to provide option to GTA & transport of passengers by motorcab service providers to avail full ITC & discharge GST @ 6%. Notification No. 20/2017-Central Tax (Rate) New Delhi, the 22nd August, 2017

PARTICULARS OLD RATENEW RATE
Rent-a-cab service5 % [Provided that credit of input tax charged on goods and services used in supplying the service has not been taken [Please refer to Explanation no. (iv)]]Allowed   option   of  12%   GST with full ITC. 5% GST with no ITC will also continue
