How to Link NPS Account with Aadhaar Online
The National Pension System (NPS) is a pension investment system established by the Indian government to give long-term security to Indian people. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority oversees the system (PFRDA).
The government has made Aadhaar seeding in an NPS account a requirement for a variety of services. In August 2021, the Aadhaar card was declared a mandatory form of identification to collect benefits under the National Pension Scheme for traders and self-employed individuals who are eligible.
Individuals who registered their NPS account using their PAN instead of their Aadhaar can update their Aadhaar in their NPS account by following these procedures.
Step 1: Log into your NPS account via the link https://cra-nsdl.com/CRA/
Step 2: Click on sub menu ‘Update Aadhaar/Address Details‘
Step 3: Under the menu that opens next click on ‘Update Details ‘
Step 4: Select the option ‘Add/Update Aadhaar Number‘
Step 5: Submit your Aadhaar Number and click on ‘Generate OTP‘
Step 6: Enter OTP received from UIDAI on your registered mobile number
Step 7: After Authentication through OTP, Aadhaar will be linked to your PRAN
