Good News for CA Students : ICAI may postpone CA Exam Date for May 2019

Now when election dates have been announced by the Election Commission, and it has been confirmed that the National Lok Sabha elections 2019 will be held from April 11 to May 19, there are chances that ICAI may postpone CA Exam Date for May 2019.

Clearly two CA Exam dates i.e. 6th and 12th May 2019 are clashing with the Election Dates.

Also CA Inter/IPCC schedule is not effected by election dates as non of the exam of CA IPCC/Inter is scheduled to be held on any of the election date.

Latest Update : ICAI has rescheduled May 2019 Examination due to National Lok Sabha Election 2019, now New Examination Schedule for May 2019 has been released by ICAI.

But in case of CA Final old Syllabus/NewSyllabus

Paper 3 Advanced Auditing & Professional Ethics : Scheduled to be held on 6th May, 2019 and

Paper 6 Information Systems Control & Audit or Risk Management/ Financial Services & Capital markets/ International taxation / Economic laws as the case may be : Scheduled to be held on 12th May, 2019

will be effected.

In our opinion, exam on these dates should be postponed. However Examination board of ICAI is the final Authority to take decision on this matter.
