ICAI notifies Draft rules for CA New Education Scheme The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified Draft rules for New Education Scheme. These regulations are the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Regulations, 2023. The New scheme for Education and Training has been introduced by ICAI for developing a comprehensive curriculum at par with international standards. After taking into account the suggestions from various stakeholders, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) developed the New Scheme of Education and Training in accordance with international educational standards and the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP). The New Scheme of Education and Training will take effect on July 1st, 2023, and was announced in the Indian Gazette on June 22nd, 2023. Important dates for the implementation of New Scheme of Education and Training are given as under:

9	Last date of commencement of three years Practical Training	30th June, 2023
10	Date of commencement of two years uninterrupted Practical Training	1st July, 2023
