IIT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2023: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has released a notification inviting applications from Indian nationals for the temporary assignment of Library Professional Trainee. The assignment offers four positions with a two-year training period and a consolidated stipend of INR 18,000 per month. The educational qualification for the position is a first-class Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute, with relevant computer knowledge being desirable. As per IIT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for candidates is 26 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules.
Interested candidates who meet the above-mentioned requirements can apply online by 19th April 2023. Upon completing the online application, candidates must submit a printout of the application along with a passport-sized photograph and self-attested copies of certificates on the date of the walk-in interview. As per IIT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process will comprise of a written test and an interview, to be held on 24th April 2023 at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar. Candidates are required to bring their original certificates in support of their date of birth, qualification, and category, along with a set of photocopies.
Selected trainees will have an opportunity to work in various sections of the Central Library, gaining exposure to emerging tools and technologies in the Library and Information field. They will be working in different shifts, including morning, evening, and late-night shifts, and on weekends/holidays on a rotational basis, six days a week. The positions will be deemed to be automatically terminated upon the completion of the two-year tenure. Candidates who have appeared for their final year examinations and are expecting the results before the written test and interview date may apply, provided they produce their final marks sheet at the time of joining.
