IIT Guwahati JAM 2023: Registration for Joint Admission Test for Masters Starts Now
The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) for admissions to masters courses in IITs and NITs is going to be conducted on February 12th, the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, declared yesterday, on 7th September 2022. As per the notification posted on the official website, JAM 2023 will be open to all Indian citizens, and there will be no age restriction. The marks scored in the exam will only be considered valid for a period of one year and might also get utilized by other centrally funded technical institutions which include IISc Bangalore, JNCASR, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET Punjab, DIAT, and IISERs for admission to their Master’s programs.
The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is an all-India entrance examination that is administered and conducted across the country jointly by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC) along with the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the administration of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
JAM 2023 is going to be conducted in around 100 cities across the country. It will be a computer-based test that will be including seven subjects namely- Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics. Candidates must know that they can appear for either one or two test papers.
The following exam will be filling up over 3000 seats in various IITs and over 2000 seats in various NITs for master’s programs, including MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc – Ph.D., and integrated Ph.D.
