Important Update: ICAI Re-Schedules CA Intermediate Examination 2026 Across India and Abroad
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made a significant announcement dated April 06, 2026, notifying changes in the official schedule for Chartered Accountants' (CAs') Intermediate Examination 2026, initially planned to begin from May 03, 2026, [Sunday] across India and abroad. Due to some unavoidable reasons, the exams are now rescheduled to start on May 5, 2026.
The timings of the exams remain unchanged, i.e., from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST). As per the introduced changes in the official schedule, the Group I examinations will now be conducted on 5th, 7th, and 9th May 2026, while Group II examinations will be conducted on 11th, 13th, and 15th May 2026. This change applies to candidates appearing both in India and abroad.
Candidates must note that no changes have been introduced to the official schedule of CA Examinations other than Intermediate, such as Foundation, Final, and PQC (INTT-AT). These examinations will be administered as per their earlier schedules only, notified through an earlier Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/MAY/2026 dated December 12, 2025.
Candidates are advised to stay in touch with the ICAI official website, i.e., https://www.icai.org/, for the latest updates regarding the other examinations.
