Income Tax Dept Crackdowns Jaipur’s National University (JNU)

The Income Tax Department executed big raids on Jaipur National University (JNU), located in Jagatpura, Jaipur.

On Tuesday, a team from the Income Tax Department from Delhi raided the university and many places connected with it. This team also oversees searches for tax evasion. The Income Tax Department is investigating transactions of unspecified income.

This raid was mainly done to investigate the documents linked to admission, donation and cash transactions in the university. The Income Tax team also searched chief director Sandeep Bakshi’s residence and other business places of the university.

As a result, the teams have found receipts associated with bank transaction records, admission fees, cash books and account statements, donations and more suspicious transaction entries in the investigation.
