A major Income Tax Department operation took place at RR Hospital on Churu Road in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district on Monday morning. According to sources, a team of around 15 officials arrived at the hospital in five vehicles at around 5 a.m. Teams involved in the operation had reportedly left at around 11 p.m. on Sunday night and carried out searches at multiple locations early Monday morning.

During the raid, officials examined the hospital’s computers, documents and financial records. They also collected mobile phones from staff members who were present at the hospital. Sources said the team checked digital data and transaction details on the phones. After around two hours of examination, the phones were returned to the staff.

Sources suggest that the raid at RR Hospital may be linked to a wider Income Tax Department operation in Haryana and Rajasthan. At around 6 a.m. on Monday, teams also reportedly raided Bhatia’s office in Model Town, Panipat. Officials from Delhi and Punjab were also said to be part of the operation.

According to sources, the investigation may be connected to two firms, Plus Distribution and Plus Distribution Private Limited, which are reportedly run by Anil Bhatia and Ashwani Bhatia. The firms are said to be involved in supplying medicines to hospitals. An Income Tax raid was also reported at Amar Medical and Research Center in the Mansarovar area of Jaipur.
