Referring to the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the eligible candidate is invited for the posts of Director (Systems), Deputy Director (Systems) and Assistant Director (Systems) on a deputation basis. There are a total of 17 vacancies available for the mentioned position.

Qualification for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the candidate’s educational qualifications are mentioned below:

For Director (Systems)-

• The candidate should have a master’s degree in Computer Application or a Master of Science (Computer Science or Information Technology) from a recognised university or institute; or a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology) from a recognised university or institute.
• The candidate should have 12 years‟ post qualification experience in the relevant areas of Programming or Information Systems in a Government office or public sector undertakings or autonomous body or statutory body or in any recognised institution

For Deputy Director (Systems) –

• The candidate should have a master’s degree in Computer Application/Computer Science or Master of Technology (M. Tech.) (with a specialisation in Computer Application) or Bachelor of Engineering (B E)/Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology of a recognised University or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 5 years‟ experience of in electronic data processing work out of which at least two years‟ of experience should be in design, Development or organising Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems; OR
• The candidate should have a Degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science or Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 7 years‟ experience of in electronic data processing work out of which at least 3 years of experience should be in design, Development or organising Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems; OR
• The candidate should have a master’s Degree from a recognised University or equivalent or a Degree in Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 8 years‟ experience of in Electronic Data Processing work out of which at least 4 years of experience should be in design, Development or organising Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems; OR
• The candidate should have an „A‟ Level Diploma under the DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses) Programme or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application offered under the University Programme/Post-Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Applications awarded by the State Council of Technical Education or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 8 years‟ experience of in Electronic Data Processing work out of which at least 4 years of experience should be in the design, Development or organisation of Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems.

For Assistant Director (Systems)-

• The candidate should have a Master‟s Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science or Master of Technology (M. Tech) (with a specialisation in Computer Application) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology of a recognised University or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 2 years‟ experience of in electronic data processing including experience in actual programming; OR
• The candidate should have a Degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science or Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent;
• The candidate should have 3 years‟ experience of in electronic data processing work out of which at least 1 year of experience should be in actual computer programming; OR
• The candidate should have a Master’s Degree from a recognised University or equivalent or a Degree in Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent.
• The candidate should have 4 years‟ experience of in Electronic Data Processing out of which at least 2 years experience should be in actual computer programming;

Age Limitation for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the eligible candidate’s maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.

Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

Based on the official noification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the required eligibility criteria of the candidate is mentioned below:

For Director (Systems)- The Officers under Central Government State Government Union territory or autonomous bodies or public sector undertakings statutory bodies or recognised research institutes or Universities and semi-government Organisations: –

• The candidates should hold analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
• The candidates should have two years‟ of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 13 in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

For Deputy Director (Systems) – Officers under the Central Governments-

• The candidates should hold analogous posts on a regular basis; or
• The candidates should have 5 years of‟ regular service in posts in the pay scale of 8000-13,500 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent; or
• The candidates should have 6 years of regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs. 7,500-12,000 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent; or
• The candidates should have 8 years‟ of regular service in the posts in the of pay scale Rs, 6,500-10,500 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent.

For Assistant Director (Systems)– Officers under the Central Governments:

• The candidates should hold analogous posts on a regular basis, or
• The candidates should have 2 years of regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs. 7500-12000 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent; or
• The candidates should have 5 years of regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent; or
• The candidates should have 8 years‟ regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000 (as per 5th CPC) or equivalent.

Salary for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the selected candidate’s salary is given below:
For Director (Systems)-

• The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Level 13A in a pay matrix (Rs. 131100 to Rs. 216600).

For Deputy Director (Systems) –

• The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Level 11 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-3, RS. 15600 to Rs. 39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6600).

For Assistant Director (Systems)-

• The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Level 10 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-3, Rs. 15600 to Rs. 39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400).

Tenure for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

Referring to the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the following candidates’ tenures are listed:

For Director (Systems)-

• The period of deputation (including short-term contract) including a period of deputation (including short-term contract) till 31.12.2024 which may be extended year on year basis maximum of up to 05 years with the approval of the Competent Authority owing to the administrative requirement.

For Deputy Director (Systems) –

• The period of deputation (including short-term contract) including a period of deputation (including short-term contract) till 31.12.2024 which may be extended year-on-year basis maximum of up to 04 years with the approval of Competent Authority owing to the administrative requirement.

For Assistant Director (Systems)-

• The period of deputation (including short term contract) including period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinary not to exceed 04 years

Place of Posting for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2023, the selected candidate will be posted in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
