In the most recent travel guideline released by the officials, the airport states that " Delhi airport operations are normal at present.
Although an order has been issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security in which it has been stated that some flights could be impacted and the processing time would become more lengthy because of the increase in security actions and changing conditions of the airspace.
Earlier, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and aviation officials sent out alerts stopping flights at 32 airports across Northern and Western India.
The alert is active from May 9, 2025, to May 14, 2025 (until 5:29 AM on May 15, 2025), because of operational needs.
The closed airports include Adhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Awantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise and Uttarlai.
As tensions grow with Pakistan, drones were seen at 26 places from Baramulla in the north to Bhuj in the south, along both the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), according to ANI's defense sources on Friday.
The drones are thought to be armed and could attack both civilian and military targets. These drones were spotted in many places, including Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala.
