Indian Coast Guard is inviting eligible candidates for the post of Store Keeper Grade II, Engine Driver, CMTD OG, Fork Lift Operator, Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled), Carpenter (Skilled), Unskilled Labourer, and Motor Transport Fitter on a Direct Recruitment. The number of vacant seats available for the above post is 10.

Pay Scale for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023, candidates will be paid between the level 1 to level 4 pay scales.

Qualification and Experience for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 must have the following qualification.

Store Keeper Grade II

• Candidate should have a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University.
• Candidate should have One year’s experience in handling Stores from any recognized firm or Central or State Government organization or Public Sector Undertakings

Engine Driver

• Candidate should have 10th pass or equivalent.
• Certificate of competency as an Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.

Desirable.
Candidate should have two years service as Sarang on a Vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse Power.

CMTD OG

• Candidate should have 10th Standard pass.
• Candidate must possess a valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.
• Candidate should have at least two years experience in driving Motor Vehicles, and
• Candidate should have knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).

Fork Lift Operator

• Certificate in the respective trade from ITI or other recognized Institutions with not less than one year of experience in the trade. OR
• Candidate should have 3 years of experience in the trade for which no training is available in ITI or other recognized institutions.
• Candidate should possess heavy-duty vehicle driving licence.

Desirable

• Candidate should have 10th standard pass
• Knowledge of English.

Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled)

• Candidate should have 10th pass or equivalent.
• Candidate should have successfully completed an apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed Workshop in the relevant trade under Apprentice Act, 1961, or under any other recognized Apprenticeship Scheme. OR
• Candidate should have completed training in the relevant trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 01-year trade experience. OR
• Candidate should have 04 years of experience in the trade for which no training is available in the ITI or other recognized institutions.
• Candidate should have qualified for a trade entrance examination.

Carpenter (Skilled)

• Candidate should have a 10th pass or equivalent.
• Candidate should have successfully completed an apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the relevant trade under Apprentice Act,1961, or under any other recognized Apprenticeship Scheme.OR
• Candidate should have completed training in the relevant trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 01-year trade experience. OR
• Candidate should have 04 years of experience in the trade for which no training is available in the ITI or other recognized institutions.
• Candidate should have qualified a trade entrance examination

Unskilled Labourer

• Candidate should have a Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized boards or ITI from recognized institutions.
• Candidate should have Three years of experience in the trade.

Motor Transport Fitter

• Candidate should have Matriculation or equivalent
• Candidate should have 02 years of experience in an automobile workshop.

Desirable

I.T.I diploma in relevant trade.

Selection Procedure for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023, candidates will be selected on the Scrunity of Application, Document Verification and Written Examination will all take place.

Scrutiny of Applications

All applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized subject to the eligibility criteria and necessary documents.

Document Verification

All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior to appearing in the written examination. Candidates will be required to bring their original documents and self-attested Xerox copies (02 sets) of the same as per the directives/instructions given in their admit cards.

Written Examination

The written examination will be pen-paper based and one-hour duration. The Question Paper (bilingual) for the written examination will consist of 80 objective-type questions with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

Age Limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the Official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit for the Store Keeper Grade II post is 25 years, for the Engine Driver post is 30 years and for CMTD OG, Fork Lift Operator, Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled), Carpenter (Skilled), Unskilled Labourer and Motor Transport Fitter post is 27 years. Relaxable by 03 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and 05 years for SC/ST candidates.
