ITBP Recruitment 2023: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) has announced the recruitment of 71 meritorious sportspersons to the post of Constable/General Duty under Sports Quota-2022. The applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens (male and female) for filling up the vacancies for the non-gazetted and non-ministerial posts of Constable (General Duty) in Group ‘C’ on a temporary basis, likely to be made permanent in ITBP. As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the posts have all India liability, and the selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad.
As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the recruitment process will be conducted through online mode only, and no other mode for submission of application is allowed. The online application mode will be opened from 20th February 2023 and will be closed on 21st March 2023. The candidates are advised to check their eligibility before applying to avoid any disappointment at a later stage.
On appointment, the candidates will be governed by the ITBPF Act, 1992 and ITBPF Rules, 1994. The vacancies are available under different sports categories, and candidates need to have proficiency in the respective sports. As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the recruitment process will include physical efficiency test (PET), physical standard test (PST), and a written test. Candidates who qualify in all the tests will be called for the final selection process. The selected candidates will be engaged on a contract basis for a temporary period, subject to medical fitness by the ONGC Medical Authority as per mine rules 1955.

As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the revised pay scale for the posts of Constable/General Duty under Sports Quota is Level-5, with basic pay of Rs. 21,700-69,100/- as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. The selected candidates will also be entitled to other allowances, including Degrees Allowance, Retim Money Washing Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance, free uniform, free accommodation or MRA, Transport Allowance, Free Leave Pass, Free medical facilities, and any other allowances admissible in the force from time to time under the rules/instructions. On appointment, the candidates shall be entitled to pension benefits as per the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme applicable for the new entrants to the Central Government Services as per the order of the Central Government from time to time.
As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential educational qualification required for the post is Matriculation from a recognized board, and the sports qualification requires players who have participated or won medal(s) in any International Sports events recognized by International Olympic Association as a member of the Indian Team, and players who have won medal(s) in any National Games or Championships recognized by Indian Olympic Association Sports Federation of (concerned Sport), Youth/Junior National Championship held from 01/01/2021 to 21/03/2023. In team events, sportsperson who have won any medal National Games/National Championships Both Jamor & Senior) recognized by respective Federation Association recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports or conducted by the Indus Olympic Association during the said period will be considered eligible.

As per ITBP Recruitment 2023 official notification, the application process for the recruitment of meritorious sportspersons to the post of Constable/General Duty under sports quota-2022 in ITBP is completely online. Interested and eligible candidates should apply through the ITBP recruitment website. Online application mode will be available from 20th February 2023 at 00:01 am and will be closed on 21st March 2023 at 11:59 pm.
Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the application form. The application must be submitted online, and no offline applications will be accepted. The candidates who submit an offline application will have their candidature summarily rejected.
Candidates must upload a copy of the certificate or document for the sport discipline mentioned in Para-2 in support of their highest medal/position or highest level of participation in the sports achievement mentioned in Para-4(d) on the ITBP recruitment website in their profile created on website before applying for the post.
It is important to note that the candidates should check their eligibility before applying to avoid disappointment at a later stage. The age limit for the post of Constable/General Duty Sports-persons is 18 to 23 years, and the essential educational qualification is Matriculation from a recognized board.
