JSW Dulux Limited, formerly known as Akzo Nobel India Limited, has received a show-cause notice from the West Bengal GST Department over the disallowance of input tax credit (ITC) for the period from April 2022 to March 2023.
The company said the notice was issued by the Assistant Commissioner, Large Taxpayers Unit, West Bengal GST Department, under Section 73 of the CGST Act and Rules, 2017. The notice was dated September 23, 2026, and was received by the company on September 24.
According to the notice, the total liability is Rs 56.72 lakh. This includes Rs 29.64 lakh in tax, Rs 24.12 lakh in interest, and Rs 2.96 lakh as penalty.
The company clarified that this is currently a show-cause notice and not a final order. JSW Dulux said it is preparing its response and will make further submissions to the authorities within the stipulated time.
The disclosure was made by the company under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
