Steel City Settles NSEL Matter

Steel City Securities Ltd. said its wholly owned subsidiary, Steel City Commodities Pvt. Ltd., has received a settlement order from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in connection with settlement applications filed under the National Spot Exchange Ltd. (NSEL) Settlement Scheme 2025.
According to the company’s disclosure, SEBI issued the settlement order on September 9, 2026, and closed the proceedings against Steel City Commodities after the company paid a settlement amount of Rs 6 lakh.
The company said the matter relates to a single paired contract undertaken by Steel City Commodities in its capacity as a broker on NSEL. The disclosure stated that there is no impact on the company’s financials, operations or other activities from the order.
Steel City Securities made the disclosure to the National Stock Exchange under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
