Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd has received a GST demand notice of around Rs 9.06 crore from the Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Bengaluru, for the financial year 2022-23.
The notice, dated September 28, 2026, relates to alleged input tax credit (ITC) mismatch and HSN classification issues. The demand includes Rs. 4,91,06,051 in tax, Rs. 3,66,36,682 in interest and Rs. 49,10,606 as penalty.
The company said it does not expect any material impact on its financial or operational activities. Kirloskar Oil Engines added that it is in the process of filing a reply with the appropriate authority within the prescribed timeline.
The company made the above disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
