Vikran Engineering Gets GST Notice

Vikran Engineering Limited has received a GST show-cause notice from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Tax, Circle-Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur-IV, for the financial year 2022-23.
The notice, dated September 24, 2026, relates to an alleged excess claim of input tax credit (ITC) in the company’s GSTR-3B returns. According to the tax authorities, the ITC claimed was not confirmed in the company’s GSTR-2A/GSTR-2B records.
The tax demand raised in the notice amounts to Rs 83.62 lakh. In addition, the company has been asked to pay Rs 62.71 lakh as interest and Rs 8.36 lakh as penalty. The notice has been issued under various provisions of the Rajasthan GST Act, 2017, along with the relevant provisions of the Central GST and IGST Acts.
Vikran Engineering said it does not expect any material impact on its financial or operational activities due to the notice.
The company also said it will submit a detailed reply and objections to the State Tax Officer. It added that it has a strong case on merits and will contest the matter through the appropriate process.
